There is free parking on the museum grounds. Our volunteers will be there to direct you to the parking areas.

Yes, but please note that the price increases on race day! Also, there is no guarantee your t-shirt size will be available with same-day registration. . For same day registration, please show up between 6:45 – 7:30 AM. Also, please note you can register on your smartphone the morning of the race and check-in at registration to get your bib number on race morning.

Yes, there will be a water stop on the course.

Yes! We have a lot of participants who enjoy walking our race course.

Yes, we will have porta-potties located at the start/ finish area.

Yes, they are allowed, and we have numerous runners use the baby joggers each year. However, if you choose to run with a baby jogger, please note that there are numerous areas of the course with uneven terrain. It is your responsibility to make sure your baby jogger does not impede other runners, and you must take extra precaution to ensure your safety, your child’s safety, and the safety of others around you.

You will need your identification to obtain a wristband in order to purchase alcoholic beverages at the Run to Remember after-party.

The race will continue, rain or shine.

Race results will be available upon completion of the race.

Yes. You can join us at our onsite afterparty at the Military Aviation Museum which will end sometime between 11:30am and noon. And be sure to look for us throughout the year at other local events where we sell R2R shirts, hats, visors and other merchandise.

Stay after the race to enjoy some music, Mission BBQ, Beer, Mimosas, and activities for the little ones. There will also be numerous other vendors with giveaways and merchandise for purchase. Ensure you bring some cash and/or a credit card and your ID for the adult beverages.

Run to Remember VB, is an annual Memorial Day Race held in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Conceived by four widows of Navy SEALS who were killed in action on August 6, 2011, Run to Remember honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation by raising awareness about the true meaning of Memorial Day and gives back to organizations dedicated to supporting families of fallen service members. Since its inception, Run to Remember-VB has donated over $240,000 to military charities that support families of the fallen. Proceeds from the 2024 race will be donated to Home Base and the Danny Dietz Foundation.

Wear Blue: Run To Remember is a charitable organization that honors the service and sacrifice of the American military year-round through numerous endeavors. If you haven’t checked them out, we certainly encourage you to do so! wear blue has chapters that exist nation-wide, and, while many chapters most certainly organize runs on Memorial Day, they also have programs that mentor Gold Star youth, provide training and travel grants for Gold Star families to run their first marathons, and much more. We love seeing wear blue shirts at our race, and hope to have more of a wear blue presence at our race in the future.
